Are you wondering which email service to go with next?

As if changing your email address isn’t enough of a hassle, you also need to figure out which email service to go with next. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution, but Optimus Systems has done your homework for you to help you choose.

The 3 options we’d recommend are:

  • Exchange online
  • Gmail
  • Outlook.com

Here’s an overview of alternative email services…

1. Exchange online

In a nutshell: Enterprise-grade email service with a 50GB mailbox per user – and it’s up to you whether you use the web-based version or the Outlook software you may already be familiar with. You can use your own domain, for example @drummondfamily.co.nz, something that you’d own forever and is personalised to you.

Great for: Small businesses, solopreneurs, or individuals who are heavy email users.

Cost: $6 a month per user.

2. Gmail

In a nutshell: A @gmail.com email address is free, and you can use webmail, Outlook, or other email software.

Great for: The free @gmail.com service is ideal for individuals.

Cost: @gmail.com addresses are free.

3. Outlook.com

In a nutshell: This is Microsoft’s free email service, that’s comparable with Gmail. It connects seamlessly with other Microsoft services, such as Skype, OneDrive, Office Online, OneNote and more. It also has a great mobile app.

Great for: The free Outlook.com email service is perfect for individuals.

Cost: Free.
